Thanks to our local dealership for coming through for us year after year!

Nancy's Notions raises $3,876.50!

Nancy's Notions raised $3,876.50 during their Hippos for Hope auction. They donated the proceeds to PAVE. Pictured are Laura Lambeseder of Nancy's Notions and me -Jamie Kratz-Gullickson. Laura was great to work with and put a lot of time and effort into this charity event.

I have to say, I'd never been to this event held annually during Nancy's Notion's Sewing Weekend (mark your calendars, the event runs May 6, 7, & 8 in 2010), but it was incredibly fun!

I went to speak briefly about PAVE services to the audience and provide receipts after the auction...I ended up being swept up in the excitement. I bid on a couple of the Hippos, and ended up winning "L.Vis" - which my husband loved because we were married in Las Vegas.

Thanks Nancy's Notions for a great time and a wonderful donation!

SART Team Signs MOU

The Dodge County SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) has been hard at work for the last six months developing a best practices guide to assisting victims of sexual assault. 300 copies of the books have been printed thanks to funding from SAVS and the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. The team just began signing a MOU (memo of understanding) agreeing to abide by these best practices. The first signers are shown in the photo from left to right and are Mary Wendell - Probation and Parole, Ann Kilian-Khan - Sexual Assault Victim Advocate at PAVE, Bill Bedker - Dodge County District Attorney, Amanda Anhaldt & John Hartman - Dodge County Victim Witness, and Jamie Kratz-Gullickson - PAVE's Executive Director. Others will be signing over the next few weeks, including many local law enforcement agencies and hosptials. If you are interested in being part of this MOU or the SART, please contact Ann Kilian-Khan at PAVE (920)887-3810.

Successful Fundraising Effort to End 2008!

PAVE successfully raised over $28,000 to end 2008. With the help of our community and some very generous donors we helped bring our budget back on track. PAVE provided twice as many nights of shelter in 2008 as we did in 2007 and we are looking at high numbers already in the first month of 2009. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports that when there is high economic strain, the rate of intimate partner violence more than triples. We think this may have something to do with the numbers we are seeing in shelter.

Thank you to everyone that helped make our fundraising a success!
