Child Abuse Awareness Month Activities
April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and there are a variety of events and activities going on that we are very excited about!
April 6th we will be at a Lunch and Learn at Moraine Park Technical College giving a presentation on Child Abuse and Sexual Assault.
April 16th bring the kids and come join us for the Kids Share Fair at Heritage Mall from 9:30-noon.
April 18th, listen for us on Community Comment from 12:35-1:35 on WBEV/WXRO!
All month long there will be:
- Blue Ribbon pins available for sale exclusively at Piggly Wiggly in Juneau, Juneau Public Library, Hartford Savings Bank in Juneau, and Punkin’ Patch!
- Blankets to all the babies born in the month of April at hospitals in Dodge County.
- Books on the subject of child abuse at Juneau Public Library
- Community Chain Links and other activities sent to the schools and day cares throughout Dodge County asking staff and students to participate in making things with something each person will do to help keep a child safe.
No matter where you are from, no matter the size of the town or city, child abuse does happen in your area, let’s all work together to find ways to help keep children safe.
