A big thanks to Washington Elementary for their support of PAVE's 12 Days of Giving Campaign. The staff raised seven boxes of shelter supplies for us! Shown with me are Marica Fritz and Julie Steil, who each sponsored a shelter night as well. My family has had the privilege of knowing Marcia as my daughter's second grade teacher and Julie as facilitating student council. Through Marica and Julie and all the wonderful staff at Washington I get to see firsthand how Washington supports service learning and teaches students with activities and by example that caring for our community matters.
